Terms and Conditions

The supply of services by Waimak Bins to you is governed by these terms and conditions, which may be reviewed and updated at any time. The terms Waimak Bins, us, our or we refer to the owner of this website Waimak Bins Limited.

We may review and update these terms and conditions at any time. Commencement of services will be deemed as confirmation that you have read and understood these terms and conditions.

Pricing

The price of services is the most recent price quoted to you by Waimak Bins via email or phone. We reserve the right to vary our prices at any time. Our prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Prices quoted are based on the delivery address and frequency of collection that you provide us.

  • We reserve the right to vary our prices and charge an administration fee if the delivery address or frequency of collection changes.
  • We reserve the right to charge extra for overflowing bins or extra rubbish that has been placed next to the bin.
  • We also reserve the right to charge extra for bins that include heavy items such as dirt, concrete, stones, bricks, wood, and other building materials. This charge is applied due to the high cost of disposing of these items at the refuse transfer station.

Service contract

Due to the cost of bins, we ask that customers commit to a minimum of 6 months of service for 240lt bins and 12 months for 660lt and 1100lt bins. We reserve the right to charge a $100.00 administration fee if the service is terminated earlier.

Cancellations

You are entitled to cancel your service after the contract period by providing a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice. A cancellation fee of $10.00 per bin will be applied to cover the cost of removal and cleaning.

Variations

Variation/additions to your usual service/s will be granted at the discretion of Waimak Bins and will be subject to the availability of said service in your area.

Additional fees

If you are scheduled a collection and your bin is not out, or if your bin is failed due to being too heavy or contaminated, then you will still be charged the standard collection fee unless you have notified us it is not needed.

Access

You will be responsible for providing free and suitable access for our employees and their vehicles. This includes ensuring access-ways are clear of any low hanging branches. You may be charged for any damage to vehicles which occurs due to unsuitable access-ways.

Wheelie bins should be at the roadside by 7.30am (unless we are coming in to collect). If your bin is not out or not required, you will still be charged for the collection.

We do not accept any responsibility for damage to the surface of any area, which Waimak Bins employees are required to pass over to gain access to your bin, or to any pipes, cables, or other fixtures beneath access ways.

Use of bins and risk

You will be liable to Waimak Bins for any damage to a bin which occurs while it is in your possession, subject to fair wear and tear.

While a bin is in your possession, you will not:

  1. Light fires in the bin or place hot ashes into the bin
  2. Place any liquids, dirt, hardfill, animal carcasses, or any explosive, toxic, dangerous, hazardous or noxious materials including, but not limited to, asbestos, acids, solvents, paint, minerals, grease, oil, batteries or liquid concrete into the bin
  3. Fill any bin higher than the top of its sides, or in such a manner as to cause spillage of material from the bin, either while stationary or in transit
  4. Move any bin to another address without our consent.

Invoicing

You will be invoiced at the beginning of each month for the previous months’ collection/s, either by mail or email as agreed with Waimak Bins. Payment of invoices must be made by the date shown on your invoice. Unless alternate terms have been previously agreed with Waimak Bins.

Late payments

We reserve the right suspend services to customers with overdue balances and in some cases, we may cancel our services and remove the bin/s from your property if your debt remains unpaid.  A fee of five per cent of the total bill may be added to unpaid debts each month until the debt is recovered, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Waimak Bins.

Privacy

Waimak Bins uses the personal information you provide to us to contact you about the services you purchase and to process payments. You have a right to request access to, and correction of, any personal information that is held about you by Waimak Bins.

We are committed to keeping your personal information secure. We take all reasonable measures to protect the personal information we hold about you from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
